A few hours drive north west of New York City is the Finger Lakes region, with plenty lakes, rivers and waterfalls. It is also one of the best wine growing areas in the world.

You can pitch your tent at one of New York state camping parks and enjoy the majestic rivers and lakes, surrounded by stunning scenery and incredible vistas of canyons. You can reserve your camp site and camp  at New York state camping grounds from 1 day to 9 months in ahead of time or you can make a spontaneous visit, provided that space is available. A few of the campsites are booked weeks in advance, so it is recommended that you make a reservation as early as possible. New York state camping parks have a base reservation fee and a few of the campsites may charge additional fees for amenities.

New York state camping sites are exceptionally magnificent with their epic landscape, rugged and breathtaking terrain and stunning vistas. Whether you\’re camping at Lake George in the Adirondacks or Finger Lakes, camping in New York is just a few hours away from hustle and bustle of New York City.
